Is the job to hot to handle

20 08 2007

News just in that Stuart “The Haddie” Haddon has decided (or press ganged) to call it a day. Mr Haddon is the Neighbourhood Manager for North Edinburgh and is the line manager for Christine “Hard As Nails” MacKay.

Has he been put under pressure we ask? Or is the job just to hot to handle. Now Mackay will be directly responsible to her husband Mike “The Fraudster” Rosendale when “Haddie” leaves at Christmas. This puts a new meaning to the phrase IN THE FAMILY WAY

The management down in the centre are at it again.

After the fiasco at the AGM regarding the constitution, the management committee are going against all ideology and co-opting additional members in the form of Louise “Loopy” Leach although there is no prerequisite to do so. Is the current committee proficient to run this centre, apparently not!

New culture for Leith

20 08 2007

THE historic heart of Leith is to be transformed with more pedestrian friendly streets and new picnic benches following a major National Lottery award. The £1.9 million grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund will kick start a whole range of work (Evening News 7th August). Who is kidding who here, this another one of Councillor Gordon “The Slime Ball’s” Munro’s schemes to score brownie points?

Firstly, to close part of the shore to traffic will put pressure on the already congested roads, currently being disrupted by the new tram system as it is. Secondly, let’s take the weather into consideration here. We are not convinced that the phrase “Sunny Leith” lives up to its reputation. Sitting outside in the rain thinking of sunnier climates is not our cup of tea.

Councillor Munro lives in cloud cuckoo land and should come down to reality.
